STATEMENT

I work in series, with acrylic paint on paper and canvas.

The common thread in my work is an awareness of the flat shapes that make up how we see the world, especially the interplay of positive and negative forms.

BIOGRAPHY

I grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  After two years of college in rural Minnesota, I lived for one year in Minneapolis, then returned to Boston to go to art school.  After many years there, living in artists lofts and painting, I moved to Nancy, France.  A year in France was followed by eleven years in Germany, during which I exhibited my work in Germany and in London, England.  I now live in Houston, Texas.  My work is in private collections in Boston, London, Paris, and Germany.
